Serving as the home to the ancient Qixia Temple, the expansive scenic area invites you to explore a wealth of historical wonders, including the elegant 18-meter-tall Sarira Stupa and the mesmerizing Thousand Buddha Cliff with its intricate ancient carvings. However, the mountain truly unleashes its full magic during the annual Red Maple Festival, which typically stretches from October through December. During this vibrant 50-day period, the entire landscape erupts into a spectacular sea of fiery red and golden leaves, drawing massive crowds of nature lovers and photographers. If you are an early riser, catching the gates between 5:30 am and 7:00 am cleverly rewards you with completely free admission. Since reaching the various peaks and historical monuments demands a significant amount of climbing, outfitting yourself with sturdy footwear remains absolutely essential.
